Earth Day is the perfect excuse to party, and to bring out our running shoes to raise money for our programs. After the morning race, the festivities continue with music, food trucks, games, and general revelry.

This April 25th, we’ll celebrate spring with a 5K race and a kids k through Briar Chapel roads and parks, featuring a live DJ and local food trucks!
Registration includes: a locally made shirt from TS Designs. Registration is $25* in advance and $30 day of race. The chip-timed course is a NEW USATF certified course at Briar Chapel’s Great Meadow Park on Great Ridge Parkway, Chapel Hill, NC.
*the kids’ dash is free and there is no need to register for it.
Race day: Race Day registration begins at 8:00am and the 5k begins at 9.00am. Prizes awarded to top 3 male finishers and top 3 female finishers, as well as prizes to bib numbers at random!
Enjoy beer and refuel with various food truck offerings. Stick around for live music, ping pong, volleyball, and kids’ activities for the young and young at heart.

Earth Day 5k registration is just up the hill from Margaret Pollard Middle School in the picnic shelteron Great Ridge Pkwy.
Turn-by-turn Directions: From 15-501, take Andrews Store Rd (Exxon Gas Station on corner). After about 2 miles, turn RIGHT on Granite Mill Blvd and you’ll see Margaret Pollard Middle School on your left. Turn RIGHT on Great Ridge Pkwy and head straight — Guest Parking will be on your RIGHT past the picnic shelter site. There will be parking attendants to help guide you to your parking spot.
