an Abundance DIY Sustainability Workshop with Grant Ruhlman
Saturday, September 6, 9am-12pm

Located at the Plant at 220 Lorax Lane, Pittsboro, NC.
For directions, click here.

We’ll go through a crash course detailing what Kombucha is, its history and interesting spread from China to the West, and the health benefits of this “remedy for immortality.” From there, we’ll discuss the ingredients, materials, and process to brewing, flavoring, and bottling your own Kombucha. This section will include a hands-on mixing of a starter kit to grow your own “SCOBY” mother.

There will also be a tasting and a time for question & answer and socializing.

Register online:
Pre-registration is required. Registration includes a take-home mother starting kit, instructional pamphlet, and Grant’s contact info. For this workshop, Abundance offers one work/trade position (email us), a student rate, and a regular rate.
