Here’s what 2017’s Climate Event looked like!:
Saturday, May 13
Noon – 8 PM
With 2017’s Climate Carnival, we stepped away from the formal conference and hosted a vibrant educational faire where traditional keynote speakers & plenary panels came alive with artistic expression, hands-on workshops, deep community interaction, live music, a film room and more…
Saturday’s carnival included hands-on activities, short films, education tables, local organization booths, artists and vendors boasting eco-friendly products or services, live music, artistic performances, food vendors, and several speaker sessions throughout the day. The evening wrapped up with an After Party.
Friday, May 12
7 – 9 PM
Our 5th Annual Amuse Bouche event was a festive panel discussion with five outstanding professionals representing a very holistic view of the climate change situation. From climate justice to the hard science. From the economics of denial to the weird weather. We dug into the topics you craved to learn and asked the questions you yearned to ask! The panel was moderated by WUNC’s State of Things Host, Frank Stasio.
